Jeff Orenstein is Of Counsel to Arias Sanguinetti Stahle and Torrijos LLP. He is the founder of the Consumer Law Group, the firm’s Canadian partner in class action litigation. His practice is devoted primarily to plaintiff’s class action work involving, among other areas: consumer protection, antitrust, pharmaceutical and medical products liability. He has experience with virtually all aspects of class action litigation. He has been lead counsel in multiple national and provincial class actions. Mr. Orenstein has appeared numerous times before the Quebec Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Quebec, the Quebec Court, the Quebec Labour Relations Commission and Arbitration Boards.
He received his Call to the Bar for Quebec in 2002 and for Ontario in 2011. He received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Montreal in 2000 and his Master of Laws (LL.M) from New York University in 2001
He is a Member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Lord Reading Law Society and serves as a Director of Mount Sinai Hospital Board of Trustees
Mr. Orenstein holds Certificates from the Trade-mark Agent, Canadian Intellectual Property Office; Trial Skills, National Institute for Trial Advocacy; and Deposition Skills, National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
